Meet the Groove Chick

The Groove Chick (aka Michelle) is a vocal/performance coach and talent developer from Vancouver, BC. She graduated from the University of Victoria with a degree in Music Performance and has been teaching and performing ever since.

With 20+ years of training and experience as a vocalist, pianist, symphonic/choral conductor, musical theatre director and brass player, Michelle loves working with musicians, artists and bands of all ages and in all genres. She empowers them to feel at home on stage through with vocal, instrumental and stage/performance coaching. She’ll also assist with songwriting, gig prep, casual recording and social media.

As clients prepare to take their first steps into the music industry, Michelle becomes mentor and advocate. She’ll assist with booking live shows, professional recordings, promotions, brand recognition, fan engagement through social media and networking with industry professionals.

New clients are invited to begin working with Michelle at any point along their musical journeys; drop in for a few sessions or train year round.

Michelle has dedicated her career to the empowerment of young artists. She is on a mission to equip artists with the tools, training & confidence they need to thrive AND she wants them to love every step along the way.
